Ro-ro/pax “DIONISIOS SOLOMOS” owned by ANMEZ S.A. is a closed type car ferry of Category B, according the European Directive 2009/45/EC. During 2010 the above shipowner was placed to our office the order to upgrade “DIONISIOS SOLOMOS” according the European Directive 2009/45/EC, which demanded works under the car deck. Our study and research for the upgrading of the vessel to the requirements of the Directive had as result, with the possible less works on the vessel, not to be changed it’s capacity in passengers and cars.

SCOPE OF WORK:
- Damage stability calculations according the requirements of SOLAS ‘90
- Short-range constructional interventions under main deck, in order the under deck vessel’s subdivision to be upgraded to the requirements of our damage stability calculations
- Upgrading works on the bilge systems according our instructions
- Supervision during upgrading works and vessel’s acceptance on behalf of the owners
- New stability calculations according European Directive requirements
- Technical support during surveys for certificates’ issue by the Greek Authority and the Classification Society
